| Field of researchRegional geography of the worldHe focuses on research of current regional problems in the world. It tends most towards the geography of Africa, Australia and America. He has published various papers in the field, e.g. about New York, San Francisco, Ethiopia, worked on the monographs Countries of the World 1 and 2, Geography of the World, Geography of Africa, etc. 30 years in the area offers topics and defenses of works within the geographical Olympiad Regional geography of Slovakia He is interested in the issues of regional development in Slovakia, regional differentiation of the country and regional disparities. He has published works on underdeveloped regions, mostly on the Gemer region. In addition to professional work, he presented the topic at several scientific conferences. He is a co-author of the monograph Kraje a okresy Slovenska (Regions and Districts in Slovakia). Rural geography As the first teacher, he started teaching rural geography as an integrated subject. He published first scripts - Rural Geography and later - Rural Geography 1. He published papers on the rural settlement of Slovakia, on rural communities, on the rural-urban relationship and on suburbanization. In addition to professional work, he presented the topic at several scientific conferences. He is the co-author of the monograph Agro-rural Structures of Slovakia after 1989 and the author of the monograph - Analysis of the Rural area of Slovakia from the Perspective of its Development. |
